Automate 2026: OMRON Robotics to demonstrate next-generation AMRs

OMRON Robotics

OMRON Robotics is expanding its flagship LD AMR Series with the new LD-150 and LD-300. The two AMRs will debut at Automate 2026 in Chicago.

OMRON Robotics announced that it will demonstrate the next generation of its flagship LD Series AMRs - the LD-150 and LD-300 - at Automate 2026 in Chicago.

The company said that Automate attendees will see the new AMRs operating in material transport applications.

New LD Series shipping in late 2026

OMRON said that the LD-150 and LD-300 are expected to begin shipping in Q4 2026. The company added that the new models move more in less space, bringing higher payload capacity, advanced safety features and performance enhancements to the LD Series platform.

Unlike traditional AGVs or fixed-path systems, OMRON Robotics said that these AMRs adapt dynamically to changing layouts, people and workflows, helping operations teams reduce manual transport, improve material flow and scale automation without major infrastructure changes.

“Manufacturers are under pressure to move materials faster while adapting to labor constraints, changing layouts and rising throughput demands,” said Justin King, vice president of product management, marketing and business development at OMRON Robotics. “The LD-150 and LD-300 give customers a more flexible AMR platform for heavier transport tasks in tighter spaces, with fast wireless charging and OMRON FLOW Core integration to simplify deployment and mixed-fleet management.”

Built for higher-throughput material transport

The company said that its expanded LD Series AMR lineup adds new performance, uptime, navigation and fleet integration capabilities for high-throughput material transport in demanding production environments.

OMRON Robotics highlighted the following specifications of its new LD Series AMRs:

  • Compact, high-payload design: Up to 150 kg in a 500 mm-wide footprint for the LD-150 and up to 300 kg in a 580 mm-wide footprint for the LD-300.
  • Higher transport availability: Speeds up to 2.1 m/s and wireless inductive charging in 30 minutes or less.
  • Built for changing environments: Compact navigation with support for facility transitions, including 5-degree grade ramps.
  • Integrated for safe scalability: Combining safety scanner coverage of up to 360 degrees, ISO 3691-4:2023 compliance and support for FLOW Core software, the new AMRs help manufacturers manage deployments alongside existing LD Series robots and other OMRON mobile robot fleets.

Other OMRON Robotics’ technologies at Automate 2026

Beyond the new AMRs, the company said that its Automate booth will highlight how OMRON’s combined portfolio connects mobile robotics, machine control, vision, safety and data in integrated production environments.

Partner demonstrations with ROEQ and NORD Modules will show how AMRs, topper offerings and supporting technologies come together for real manufacturing and logistics workflows.

OMRON said that the following technologies will also be on display at its booth during Automate 2026:

  • Application-ready AMR demonstrations with topper offerings for material transport and handling applications.
  • Sysmac platform connectivity that unifies robotics, vision, safety and production data across automation systems.
  • VHV5 Vision System and MTC demonstrations showing advanced inspection, quality control, compliance and proof of performance.
  • DX100 and video-based displays highlighting data collection, predictive maintenance, operational optimization, IT/OT integration and AI-supported decision-making.
