Cable and connectivity technology manufacturer SAB North America (SAB Cables) will demonstrate its offerings at Automate 2026 in Chicago.

The company said that as OEMs continue to push the boundaries of machine design - balancing compact footprints, higher speeds and longer service life - cable performance plays a critical role in overall system reliability.

SAB said that it addresses these challenges with high-flex control cables, continuous motion technologies and application-specific designs built for high performance, durability and easy integration into automated systems.

“Our focus is helping OEMs design more reliable and efficient machines from the ground up,” said Rick Orsini, product manager at SAB. “At Automate, we’re demonstrating how SAB cable solutions contribute to longer service life, reduced downtime and consistent performance in dynamic applications.”

At the SAB booth, the company said that OEMs can:

  • Evaluate continuous flex and drag chain cables optimized for high-cycle applications.
  • Explore compact, high-performance control and data cables that support modern machine design requirements in confined spaces.
  • Collaborate with SAB staff on custom-engineered cable offerings tailored to specific equipment specifications.
