The OmniCore controller from ABB Robotics made its North American debut at Automate 2025 in Detroit.
ABB Robotics will host a lineup of robotic demos at Automate 2025 in Detroit, showcasing its new OmniCore controller.
ABB said the control platform delivers faster, more precise and more autonomous automation across ABB’s entire robot portfolio.
Automate 2025 is May 12-15 at Detroit’s Huntington Place. Attendees can view ABB offerings in the company’s main booth (2632) and in the Education Pavillion (8614).
Automate represents the first full-scale U.S. debut of OmniCore, which ABB said streamlines installation and programming while boosting performance. Developed through a $170 million investment, ABB said OmniCore represents the company’s most advanced control platform yet, a unique, single architecture that integrates ABB Robotics’ complete range of hardware and software, for flexible, future-ready automation.
OmniCore’s modular design allows users to build and manage robotics systems that range from single cobots to large-scale, multi-robot production cells, able to integrate ABB’s entire portfolio of robots, mechatronics platforms and software - from industrial robots to mobile robots and cobots - and its suite of advanced, AI-powered software tools, including AI, sensor, cloud and edge computing systems.
During Automate, ABB will feature a variety of robot demonstrations, including:
ABB will also showcase customer service advancements that enable users to maximize uptime and performance through energy efficiency and robot modernization.
The company is hosting a digital corner experience during Automate with its AppStudio toolbox, where attendees of any skill level can simulate and program robots in a virtual space.
And at ABB’s Education Pavillion booth, attendees can explore the company’s Education Package, which includes:
