The MP1000R has a payload capacity of 1,000 kg (2,204 lb.).

Bosch Rexroth plans to show a range of robotic systems at Automate in Detroit next week. The company will demonstrate its Flexible Transport System, the MP1000R and M200C autonomous mobile robots, and its smart flex effector.

The Lohr am Main, Germany-based company will be at Booth 4013 in the Huntington Place Convention Center. Armando Gonzalez, Bosch Rexroth's North American business leader for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), will also lead a talk titled "Autonomous Mobile Robots Move Harmonious Factory Automation Workflows" at Room 320 on May 23 at 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Bosch Rexroth will be featuring the ACTIVE Shuttle in the AMR Demo Area at the following times:

  • Tuesday, May 23, from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. (EST)
  • Thursday, May 25, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Bosch Rexroth demos at Automate

The company said its key booth demos and highlights will include:

ctrlX AUTOMATION: This four-sided demo will illustrate the modularity and scalability of ctrlX AUTOMATION while presenting an overview of ctrlX DRIVE and ctrlX CORE hardware capabilities. On display will be a three-axis ctrlX DRIVE linked to a ctrlX CORE industrial PC running in real-time. Other components, such as ctrlX IO, ctrlX HMI and the MS2N synchronous motor, are also included.

In addition, the exhibit will show how ctrlX CORE supports modern languages for today’s industrial machinery, such as Java, Python and Node Red, plus many other application-appropriate languages.

MP1000R and M200C AMRs: Made in collaboration with leading AMR provider, Geek+, the MP1000R is a 1,000 kg (2,204 lb) capacity AMR that uses Laser SLAM-based technology developed by Bosch Rexroth to develop a "map" of the work environment and move without human intervention to deliver materials safely and reliably across a warehouse or factory.

The M200C is a 200 kg (440 lb.) payload capacity AMR with a compact size that allows it to work in narrow spaces and densely populated areas. With Rexroth’s ROKIT Locator mapping software, both AMRs can automatically update the map and improve it over time as the facility environment changes.

The MP1000R and M200C will interact with several structures, including a pallet rack and workstation, made of Bosch Rexroth’s proven aluminum structural framing portfolio.

Flexible Transport System (FTS): The Flexible Transport System is combined with the TS2 to create a fast, precise and flexible conveyor system. The linear motor driven FTS section allows high speed positioning of workpiece pallets with bi-directional, synchronous, or asynchronous moves. The FTS is integrated with a lightweight and maneuverable Kassow Robot.

Smart Function Kit for Handling (SFK4H): Bosch Rexroth’s Smart Function Kit for Handling is an preassembled multi-axis robot made up of tailored, standardized modules and components, which can be put together quickly to form smart subsystems. Simply select and adapt the basic type online, configure and order it, and commission it with software guidance.

Smart Flex Effector (SFE): The Smart Flex Effector is a sensor-based compensation module with independent kinematics in six degrees of freedom that is the first of its kind. It increases precision in handling devices and opens up new areas of application for robots and Cartesian systems.

Used in complex handling applications, joining operations with micron-level tolerances, robotic teaching, performing in-process measuring, and providing movement flexibility that was until now unobtainable, the Smart Flex Effector solves a wide array of challenges that have troubled integrators for years.

Nexo Cordless Nutrunner: Experience a whole new world of joining technology and demo the latest addition to Bosch Rexroth’s tightening system portfolio, the new NEXO nutrunner. This tightening system seamlessly integrates into conveying systems, aluminum framing workstations, and more and incorporates the complete control directly inside the device, while still keeping its sleek, cordless design.
