HP Indigo adds mobile robots to its portfolio, developed by MoviĜo Robotics

MoviĜo Robotics

MoviĜo Robotics and HP Indigo expanded its partnership with a new AMR for the print industry.

At the Dscoop Edge Rockies event in Denver, HP Indigo announced it will add mobile robots to its portfolio, developed and produced by the Dutch robotics company MoviĜo Robotics.

The companies extended their existing collaboration, and HP said that it will sell and support these AMRs directly to its clients in the print industry.

AMRs in printing

MoviĜo Robotics said that HP Indigo’s strengthened portfolio includes its AMRs that are designed for B2 pallets of HP Indigo Commercial sheet-fed presses, as well as postal pallets, carts and racks.

The extended collaboration also introduces the Sharko 5 RT, purpose-built for web presses across HP Indigo Labels and Packaging and HP PageWide roll transport environments.

“Our non-stop digital printing journey continues at full speed,” said Noam Zilbershtain, VP and general manager of HP Indigo. “At Dscoop, we’re demonstrating once again that innovation at HP Indigo never stands still.”

At the event, HP highlighted new automation technologies designed to support its vision of “Nonstop Digital Printing.” HP described the vision as a production environment where presses, workflows and material handling operate continuously with minimal manual intervention.
