MODEX 2026: KEITH Manufacturing Co. highlights Freight Runner dock-to-trailer system

KEITH Freight Runner will be on display at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta.

Material handling technology company KEITH Manufacturing Co. said that it will exhibit its KEITH Freight Runner Dock to Trailer System at MODEX 2026 in Atlanta.

KEITH Manufacturing said that the KEITH Freight Runner conveyor is an Auto Truck Loading (ATL) system that automates the transfer of goods between dock and trailer, eliminating the need for personnel or forklifts to enter the trailer, and replacing the traditional dock plate with an automated pathway for pallet transfer between dock and trailer.

The company said that MODEX Attendees are invited to see the KEITH Freight Runner Dock to Trailer system in operation and learn how automated dock‑to‑trailer conveying can support safer, more efficient dock processes.

Creating a safer loading dock

With loading docks among the highest‑risk areas for injuries, the company said that its KEITH Freight Runner system automates one of the riskiest parts of the distribution chain and keeps employees safer by moving personnel and forklifts out of the dangerous transition zone.

KEITH said that the Freight Runner Dock to Trailer system keeps personnel and equipment off the dock plate and out of trailers to reduce fall risk. The system decreases lifting injuries by removing employees from the loading area, minimizing the chance of equipment collisions, and eliminating the manual product moves from employees. By removing workers from the hazardous dock zone, KEITH Manufacturing said that the system also reduces exposure to extreme heat or cold conditions.

The company said that facilities can load and unload trailers in as little as five minutes, a fraction of the time it takes with traditional forklifts. In turn, it cuts driver idle time, minimizes staging needs and leads to faster turnaround and higher equipment utilization. KEITH said that this combination of safety and speed helps companies reduce injuries, minimize damage and improve dock efficiency.

Beyond safety and throughput, the company said that its KEITH Freight Runner’s adaptability and diverse configurations make it a valuable tool for handling pallets in various environments, from warehousing and assembly lines to vehicle and trailer interiors for agile delivery systems.

The company said that the modular, “drop‑in” design of the chain and runner conveyor simplifies installation, providing a flexible material handling system that integrates with existing infrastructure.
