Skild AI acquired the robotics arm of Zebra Technologies.
Omni-bodied intelligence company Skild AI, fresh off a $1.4 billion Series C funding round in early 2026, announced it has acquired Zebra Technologies' robotics arm.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Zebra Technologies announced at the end of 2025 that it “will soon ‘dispose or exit its robotics automation solutions business.’”
The company’s SEC filing in December 2025 laid out the financial ramifications of the move.
“The Company expects to incur up to $80 million of one-time pre-tax charges, inclusive of non-cash asset impairment charges of approximately $60 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. The actions are expected to result in net annualized pre-tax cost savings of at least $20 million.”
Now, Skild AI has added this business segment to its portfolio, significantly expanding its presence in the warehouse space.
“What Zebra brings to the table is another major piece of the puzzle,” Skild AI said in a blog on the company’s website. “Their Symmetry Fulfillment orchestration platform already coordinates tasks between robots and frontline workers using real-time data from Zebra wearable devices. Its robot and orchestration software is already proven in logistics environments where reliability isn't optional. Adding the Skild Brain to that foundation means the robots in those environments don't just follow instructions, they can actually make informed decisions.”
Zebra Symmetry Fulfillment was previously described as a comprehensive system that uses the company’s Zebra Connect Fulfillment AMRs, wearable technologies, software, and analytics designed to help increase productivity and reduce costs in warehouse operations.
