Chinese robot developer Unitree Robotics debuted its G1 humanoid robot in June 2024, a smaller, consumer-facing version of its industrial H1 and H1-2 robots. The G1 uses deep reinforcement learning and simulation to improve its AI-powered capabilities. In Jan. 2025, Unitree released a video demonstrating how it trained humanoids to dance using an open-source full-body motion capture dataset to make them capable of more fluid, natural movement. The company showcased its humanoid and quadruped robots at CES 2025.
