Additive manufacturing firm VELO3D Inc. said on March 23 that it is merging with JAWS Spitfire Acquisition Corp. The Campbell, Calif.-based metals 3D printing provider is planning to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange and launch its Sapphire XC in the second half of this year. VELO3D also recently announced that Chromealloy will be using its system for aftermarket gas turbine parts and that Primus Aerospace is using its titanium additive manufacturing system.
