CATL, a supplier of batteries for electric vehicles, led the Series C2 financing of Horizon Robotics on Jan. 7. The Beijing-based company makes embedded, AI-powered chips for autonomous vehicles, robots, and other smart devices. Horizon Robotics said it plans to use the funding on research, development, and commercialization of processors for Level 4 and 5 autonomous driving.
