Somerville, Mass.-based Formlabs raised a Series E round of $150 million, led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2. The 3D printing company said that will bring its total valuation to $2 billion. As additive manufacturing is able to handle more materials and advanced software enables novel designs, the industrial uses and market for 3D printing are growing. For instance, Formlabs’ technology could be used to produce customized headphones or dental work.
