Stockholm, Sweden-based Einride AB has been developing driverless trucks since 2016, and it raised $110 million in Series B funding in May 2021. The company said its electric, autonomous vehicles are more efficient, safer, and more environmentally sustainable than conventional trucks. Einride plans to expand testing in Europe and the U.S. As with self-driving cars, however, the race for autonomous trucking is getting crowded, with multiple partnerships announced in the past few months.
