Yaskawa
Members of the Yaskawa team celebrated its ISO 27001 certification.
Yaskawa America announced that it has been independently certified to the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard.
The company said that the certification reinforces its commitment to protecting customer information through internationally recognized information security management practices.
Yaskawa said that ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the globally recognized standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), providing organizations with a structured framework for identifying, managing and continuously improving information security risks. The company said that the certification follows an extensive independent third-party audit that evaluates security processes across technology, operations and organizational practices.
Yaskawa said that the certification represents the culmination of a three-year, cross-functional initiative led by Robert Turner, the company’s Support Services administrator, to strengthen its information security program. As part of the certification process, Yaskawa said that it completed an extensive independent third-party audit conducted by EAGLE Certification Group, becoming the first organization certified under EAGLE's newly ANAB-accredited ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification program.
“As manufacturers continue adopting connected automation, software, and intelligent robotics, information security has become an essential part of delivering reliable automation solutions," said David Troeter, vice president of Yaskawa Support Services. "Achieving ISO 27001 certification reflects our long-term commitment to protecting customer information and reinforces the trust customers place in Yaskawa Motoman every day.”
Yaskawa said that the ISO 27001 certification establishes a comprehensive framework for risk management, security governance, employee awareness and continuous improvement. The standard is recognized in more than 160 countries and is widely accepted as the benchmark for information security management across global industries.
For Yaskawa customers and partners, the company said that the certification provides additional assurance that information is managed according to internationally recognized best practices.
As automation technologies continue to evolve through robotics, artificial intelligence, industrial software, and connected manufacturing systems, Yaskawa said that it remains committed to investing in the people, processes and technologies that support secure, reliable automation technologies for its global customers.
