The Motoman NEXT platform is Yaskawa’s answer to physical AI.The NEX10 robot and the YNX1000 controller provide the hardware and processing power necessary to handle the complexities of modern, unstructured environments. The NEX10 is a six-axis robot designed for precision and speed. With a 10 kg payload and a 1,101 mm reach, the NEX10 occupies a versatile middle ground for assembly and logistics applications. It utilizes Yaskawa’s new ∑X generation high-inertia servo drives, which provide the high absolute accuracy necessary to ensure the robot's physical position matches its virtual digital twin. Driving this mechanical precision is the YNX1000 controller, which acts as a hybrid brain bridging operational technology with high-level computing. The YNX1000 features a dual-unit architecture. The Robot Control Unit (RCU) manages deterministic motion and safety protocols, while the Autonomous Control Unit (ACU), powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Orin module, runs a Linux environment for heavy AI and computer vision workloads.
