Damon has developed an unmanned sorting offering powered by the Damon Flash Sorter and embodied-AI humanoid robot to effectively address increasingly complex logistics secondary sorting situations. The humanoid robot handles induction during logistics sortation, autonomously identifying garments on the workstation, re-orienting each item and feeding them onto the conveyor in sequence. Flash Sorter scans barcodes to get the order information at high speed and transfers the items to sorters that deliver them to the correct chutes with 99.7% accuracy to prepare for final packing. The embodied-AI technology gives the robot the capability to learn and self-evolve. It can not only understand and execute complex tasks, but it also adapts to a wide range of environmental changes, and continuously optimizes its own operational performance with strong scene-generalization capabilities - turning today’s sorting cell into an ever-smarter system.
