Designed in response to evolving market needs and feedback from existing customers, Exotec’s Next Generation of Skypod AS/RS offers higher performance, improved storage density and software features for omnichannel fulfillment. A new workstation enables robot-to-robot picking and now supports goods-to-person case picking. Smart scheduling allows robots to present loads in any order at the workstation so that goods can be picked directly from inventory bins into fulfillment containers. Additionally, the robots can buffer completed and partially completed goods within the inventory racks, eliminating the need for staging areas. Exotec also redesigned its Exchanger, a dedicated gateway to bring loads in and out of the system. The Exchanger enables robots to group orders and sequence containers without an external sorter system to streamline loading/palletizing. Exotec, Booths N7116, N7120
