MIRAI 2, Micropsi Industries’ AI vision software for industrial robots, adds five new features than its predecessor. With semi-automatic data recording, MIRAI automatically records relevant data during the training phase to generate MIRAI skills, instead of guiding the robot by hand. The new no force-torque sensor allows users to train and run most skills without a force-torque sensor, lowering cost, simplifying tool geometry and cabling setup, and making MIRAI skills easier to train. Robot skill sharing allows MIRAI to transfer skills to multiple robots deployed at the same site or others. The system can also handle small differences in conditions by recording data from multiple installations. With abnormal condition detection, MIRAI can stop skills when faced with unexpected conditions, allowing users to handle these exceptions in their robot program or alert a human operator.
