As we noted in our piece about robotics trends of the past year, trade shows and conferences returned in force, with roughly 75% of pre-pandemic attendance. One of the biggest was Automate, put on in Detroit in June 2022 by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3). Robotics 24/7 collected its firsthand observations from that event.
As with other conventions, robots exhibits grew in number and diversity, with mobile manipulators, expanded capabilities, and new or improved applications.
We also launched our first Special Coverage Page for Automate, collecting our coverage of topics such as interoperability, new startups, the increasing role of software in industrial automation, and proliferating partnerships.
