Fady Saad, founder & general partner of Cybernetix Ventures, welcomed over 300 investors, entrepreneurs and robotics leaders to Robotics Invest 2026 in Boston.
BOSTON - Robotics Invest 2026, the fourth annual robotics investment summit hosted by Cybernetix Ventures, kicked off Robotics Tech Week 2026 in Boston.
The two-day event featured over 300 investors, entrepreneurs and executives in the robotics sector for keynotes, panels, roundtables and networking opportunities to discuss the ongoing evolution of funding and investment in this space.
Fady Saad, founder and general partner of Cybernetix Ventures, welcomed the attendees and provided some initial insight into funding in the robotics sector to begin the event’s festivities.
Saad wrote an article for Robotics 24/7 outlining venture capital’s and investment banking’s role in the robotics sector over the last decade.
Following the welcome, Mark Martin, co-founder and general partner of Cybernetix Ventures, hosted a “fireside chat” with Angela Du, partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers.
The conversation included SoftBank’s 5-, 10- and 300-year outlook (not a typo) in the robotics investment space, alongside the company’s target industries moving forward.
SoftBank acquired ABB’s Robotics division in October 2025 for $5.375 billion.
The next session at Robotics Invest 2026 featured a four-person panel, discussing the global robotics landscape, featuring:
The group discussed the ongoing efforts to develop a National Robotics Strategy for the U.S., and the geopolitical situation around the world. Specifically, the panelists mentioned China’s role leading the world in robotics adoption, and the steps that the U.S. needs to address to catch up.
Alongside this conversation, the panelists touched on reshoring in the U.S., and potential labor shortages facing the U.S. as robotics adoption lags.
The afternoon sessions at Robotics Invest 2026 focused on dual-use robotics and deployment stories.
On the dual-use front, panelists discussed threading the needle with commercial and defense robotics.
Dual-use panelists included:
Then, Gavin Kenneally, CEO of quadruped provider Ghost Robotics discussed the company’s deployments into a successful exit, and provided an update on its business.
The event concluded with a panel discussing humanoid robots and the state of “hype vs. reality” in the humanoid space. Robotics Invest 2024 featured a spirited discussion about humanoids, and Robotics Invest 2026 tackled similar topics.
Panelists for this session were:
Key elements of the panel included perception, the form factor of a humanoid robot and power considerations for commercial applications.
