IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is expanding its industrial 3D vision portfolio with Nion, a ToF camera designed to deliver fast, precise and stable depth data for demanding automation environments. Nion combines 1.2-megapixel resolution with integrated, real-time depth processing, providing reliable 3D information at up to 30 frames per second. Even when objects move quickly or lighting conditions change, the camera delivers temporally stable depth data, making it suitable for applications in robotics, logistics and factory automation, where accurate 3D information is required at real-world process speeds. The camera is highly resistant to ambient and stray light, enabling reproducible measurement results both indoors and outdoors. With a measuring range from 0.3 to 7.5 meters, it covers typical industrial scenarios such as bin picking, depalletizing, autonomous navigation and object detection.
