Yaskawa‘s new six-axis HC10XP robot is designed to supplement manual welding or for use with heavy workpieces, with the ability to complete long welds faster and more repeatably than a human.
The HC10XP features a 10 kg (22 lb.) payload and a 1,200 mm (47.2 in.) reach. The cobot can shift from collaborative speed in PFL mode or full speed in industrial mode (up to 2,000 mm/s or 4.4 mph based on payload). This allows users to optimize cycle times based on risk assessment and process requirements, said Yaskawa.
Workers can use a teach pendant or use guiding or jogging with an external device and I/O control to teach the welds to the cobot.
