9 Welding Robots to Watch From Fabtech 2021

ABB GoFa CRB 15000

ABB has expanded its collaborative robot portfolio with the new six-axis GoFa CRB 15000. The robot is designed to support the growing demand for a cobot capable of handling heavier payloads to enhance productivity and flexibility.

The GoFa CRB 15000 has a reach of 950 mm (37.4 in.) and a speed of up to 2.2 m/sec. (4.9 mph) to provide users with materials handling, machine tending, and component assembly capabilities.

By adding a separate vision system, users can also use the cobot for package inspection.

The GoFa CRB 15000 includes torque and position sensors in each of the six points to provide additional power, said ABB.

At Fabtech 2021, cobot vendors displayed the latest features and accessories for automated welding, as shops struggle with worker shortages exacerbated by the pandemic.
